Since the new Killer Instinct has been announced, I thought we could look back on this lovely B&B promo that was done for Black Orchid.I do admire that at least Rare doesnt deny that Orchid was made to be little more than the game’s main sex symbol (aside from, you know, the main female lead). Especially considering her Development name was ‘Hootie McBoob’
I remember this. Extra eye rolly for me because Black Orchid was my favourite character to play. I was really really good using her in the first game and I liked playing as her. I had no idea she had that nickname in development. Now I’m sad. :( She wasn’t eye candy to me, she was “MUHAHAHAHAHAHA I WIN AGAIN”. I know she had the “flash the person and they die” finisher, but I really didn’t know she was meant that much to be fan service.
At least in the first game.
It was always weird to me when in Killer Instinct Gold, she got those weird hole cut outs in her clothing and her tights went from shorts to a thong, and they had stuff like the above as promo art.
