Wartune keeps reminding us its for men only

Hi there!

So I’ve been following the ongoing saga of Wartune’s ‘wonderful’ (in that I wonder who the Hell thinks they’re a good idea) advertisements. Today, this popped up at the top of RPG.net and I thought that it probably ought to be brought to your attention.

Just thought I’d share this little gem I found while on Youtube. I can’t really think of anything else to say

Looks like our old friend Wartune has changed their “adults only” claim since the ESRB told them to stop pretending they were rated AO, and are now “men only”. -_o

Given that there’s nothing X rated about this game, and it’s just a strategy RPG, wouldn’t this attempt to trick guys into thinking this is like the most forbidden fruit ever (and don’t worry guys, no women play this game, it’s free from cooties!) also mean that a lot of other potential customers would skip over your game because you’ve told them explicitly that you don’t want them?

Also, in the change, I noticed that they don’t say “your friends” anymore, but “your friend” singular.  So apparently now they don’t think potential players would have more than one friend. o_o

Wartune continues to have the weirdest ads.
