yet another redraw: that Godyssey cover

By the way I love your blog, I’ve been following it for about a month. This is great entertainment and, since I’m an artist, very educational!

Whoever did this clearly doesn’t know what he’s doing. We’re supposed to provide a balance of stylized and realistically attractive characters but he completely mangles the anatomy. The curvature of the spine for instance has an inward indent around the waist so that was first to change. Second the poses are not very dynamic at all so I canted the right character’s hips a little. Then, they have these stumpy little midget legs. Finally they manage to be flat-chested and obese at the same time, how does that happen?

I also took a tiny liberty with the costumes to make them easier to fight in. The combat boots, I like the combat boots, they can stay.

This is so brilliant.

And I love what you did with it. Much more realistic. It’s kind of gross how ridiculously awful they were drawn before. Nice job!
