A friend of mine linked me to this article, and I immediately thought of this site.
Even though this is probably not news to anybody reading this tumblr, this is still seriously screwed up. And it’s not surprising that artists who grow up around shopped “real women” in casual media they consume (and are socialized to see as being attractive), that when they impute their sexual fantasies into female heroines (which is a big reason for the bad art to start with) it comes out with the organless, bent bodies as well as the poses meant for their own titillation.
