Site Updates, Request for Feedback, and Thank You to our June Patrons!!!

Hi everybody!

It's July so it's time for another site update and to thank you to all our Patreon subscribers! :3

So, if you missed last month's update, the biggest thing is that I've discovered a lot of the Escher Girls Tumblr has been flagged incorrectly by Tumblr as adult content.  I'm still working on appealing them all.  The good news is it looks like most of it isn't removed or blocked, just flagged.  I'm still not sure how that affects people's viewing, it seems most people can still see most things.  If you notice any difficulties seeing posts, please let me know. The flagging seems to be entirely automated because a lot of the posts flagged have nothing even remotely sexual about them, some are literally just the algorithm being unable to recognize that a person with fire powers isn't naked (it flagged a cover with Johnny Storm with his flame on for instance), and the appeals are processed instantly, so there's definitely no human looking at it. It's frustrating, to say the least.

The issues with Tumblr are why I decided to self-host the site even though it takes more work and costs money, because while it's not Tumblr, it is an archive that I control and can't be deleted or hidden by the whims of a corporation changing their policies (*glances at Twitter for no reason*).  It's also why I've mention that Escher Girls has an RSS feed so people know there's a way to keep up to date with posts outside of Tumblr.

For newbies who don't know what RSS is, it stands for Really Simple Syndication and is basically a feed that you can read using an RSS reader. Simply copy and paste https://eschergirls.com/rss.xml into an RSS reader and it will keep you up to date on Escher Girls!  (Here is more on RSS. We are also in the process of making a page on EG to help newbies who don't know where to start to find an RSS reader, etc..)

Also, if you have any suggestions for upgrades to the site that would make it more readable, usable, etc to you, please let me know! Also if there's a way to make commenting more accessible than using Disqus that you'd like us to try implementing.

I know it sounds corny, but it's also why I'm so appreciative of the support we get from Patreon & Ko-Fi because it helps pay for hosting and the domain name and helps us upgrade the site as needed.  And just for myself, I appreciate all the readership and support because it's cool that something I make is meaningful to others. <3

As usual, I'm working on restoring broken posts when I find them.  Some of them I've found aren't just broken on this site due to the move but also don't exist on Tumblr anymore due the posts being removed due to flagging.  If you didn't see it earlier, I want to especially point to a post from the original Elder Scrolls because I wrote that as a short story and I think people would get a kick out of it.

Anyway, with the update done, I want to give our June Patreon subscribers a very sincere thank you, your support means so much to us, and me personally <3

So thank you so much to:
