When she isn’t broken, Domino is actually rather flat-bottomed.

There’s nothing wrong with that, of course! But it does show that making women into snakes only gives the illusion of curves.

It might be simpler to simply draw them with curves, or forgo the curves altogether—either would result in a drawing of a woman, rather than a snake.

That’s something I’ve talked about on this blog in the past: that this happens because artists (or editors) don’t want a female character to be “fat” so they’re drawn with no butt, but they also want them to have curves, so there’s a bend in the spine for an illusion of a butt.
