I’ve been reading your tumblr for a while and i wanted to contribute something too. I tried doing a redraw of this cover from Rob Liefeld (before i found out that somebody did it before and better). While making the redraw i noticed two things that baffled me that i didn’t notice because i couldn’t stop thinking about their thoraxes. First, their body armor is just a bathing suit and some gratuitous gloves and stockings and Avengelyne has no left arm (which threw me off the moment i got to the that point in the drawing). Also, i found it funny that the faces in the original picture look more like disdain rather than “fierce”. For context here is the drawing superimposed over the original.
