man, one of my favourite blogs ever is eschergirls. i seen a few people redraw this beautiful picture and i wanted to have a crack at it. i’ve never done a redraw of someone else’s art before! :0
i dont know who these characters are but my god
why is she in such a strange tiny room
why is that window so low

I CHANGED THE DIALOGUE SO SHE WOULD BE LESS OK WITH THAT
NOBODY WANTS TO BE LEERED AT BY SOME DUDE WHEN THEY’VE JUST WOKEN UP
That’s awesome. I love the expression on her face, she looks tired and annoyed, and with the dialogue change (“Don’t you know how to knock?”) you’ve changed the blanket motion to appear more like she’s trying to cover up as (I think that’s her father) barges in.
One thing though, that’s not a window, that’s a panel inside a panel showing her father coming through the door. The problem is that it’s so awkwardly placed and confusingly drawn that a lot of people have been confused and thought that was a window.
Anyway, your redraw is awesome. :)
I love all these redraws because everybody has a different idea of how to construct this scene, and the expressions really change how we interpret what’s going on. So far, nobody has interpreted her expression (given the scene and her dialogue) as being the original though, which says a lot.
