Our Home is Saved!

It’s taken about half a year, but as of this past Friday, my family’s house is finally paid off. It’s over.
I felt I owed it to all of you to let you know that everything worked out okay. I wouldn’t have wanted anyone to keep worrying about us, so I’m posting a scan of the receipt.
What happened is that it ended up taking a very long time for my mother’s tax returns to be processed - about three months. But with the roughly $6,500 we raised on GoFundMe, almost $4,000 of my mom’s tax returns, and $2,500 of my own money, we were able to scrape together enough to make the payment.
I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your help in saving our home. You’ve done a lot to boost my faith in humanity. In particular, I want to extend special thanks to my dear friend ami-angelwings, who was able to use her platform on eschergirls to give us the initial push of over $3,000 we needed to get rolling.
Again, our home is safe, and we will not be evicted. For the first time since this began six months ago, I feel at peace.Thank you.
Some of you might remember that a while ago I had posted my friend’s fundraiser to save his home, so this is an update on what happened :)
I’m super happy for him and so glad that he and his family are able to stay in their house. But also, I want to thank all of you for helping to make this possible. He credits me for using Escher Girls to try to help, but it was all of the people who chipped in and donated that did it. :) So yeah. You guys are so awesome, and you helped out a really great and close friend of mine, and I wanted to say thank you so much. <3
