hello:}     first and foremost

    hello :}
    first and foremost i LOVE your blog, (hence that’s why i follow it), second, i love what you stand for :}

    If I may just bring about just something that touched me a little personally, and by no means is it anyone’s fault. My niece has the rare condition described in this post: http://eschergirls.tumblr.com/post/24120667193/insertfail-eschergirls-id-love-for-somebody

    except, her case is a bit worse: she was born without the femur bone, and while I think it’s fine, I think the author’s wording in the word bubble, hurt my heart a bit and reminded me of her strength. “I don’t want to live anymore” seems a bit…extreme, in that case, so while I do understand the humor in it, it just affected, me, and only me. Lastly, I’d really like to explain that I don’t intend to bring down anyone’s feelings by writing this, or make anyone feel guilty. I say that because I know that’s how someone will take it. I just wanted to invoke a sense of empathy, and tell you how that word bubble is much different from the attitude i’ve seen in real life. :}

    Once again, keep up the great posts, I love your blog, and will continue to support it. (I was actually going to do some corrections for you in a couple months when I was on break). :}

Thank you for sharing this.  I was concerned about how the word bubble could have been taken and that’s why it took me so long to decide to post it.  I know that the artist obviously didn’t mean to imply that disabled people wouldn’t want to live, but I also understand why it affected you in that way, and I was worried about what could be implied by it. I regret not saying something when posting it.
