CW: Graphic abuse, domestic violence

CW: Graphic abuse, domestic violence

Not too sure if this is exactly Escher Girls material, but I found it extremely unsettling. These are on consecutive pages from Jennifer Blood #31, and is the reveal that a newly introduced character is in a physically abusive relationship. Which seems like a really, really bad time to sexualize the character in question.

(if you publish this, I’m sure it needs content warning tags, it looks like “domestic violence” and “abuse” are commonly used for this kind of thing)

It’s sad to me just how much this seems like the default setting for how comic books are so often drawn. :\  Here we have a woman in a domestic abuse situation, and we still need to have a gratuitous butt and panty shot.
