transfaabulous: I was gettin’ the itch

I was gettin’ the itch to do my first-ever redraw and was going through your archives when I spotted poor Spider-Girl. From three years ago. Ehhhh
I don’t have a tablet, which is how I think y'all are doing the redlines and such, so I just redrew ‘er. What I could have done was make her head look down at where she was landing and just do some relatively minor anatomy changes, but that’s not exactly good for a cover, where you want the face of your superhero somewhat visible. So, I kept the head where it was and changed some other things. Like the rest of her torso and legs.
Since she’s not just landing, but jumping forward, I made sure that her legs were coiled and ready to move forward so she doesn’t fall flat on her face - otherwise, there’s no way she’d keep going. Since her left arm is moving back and no longer supporting her, I moved her left leg forward so she could transfer her weight there instead of hopping along on her right hand. I’m only noticing now that I forgot to put her hips at an angle to account for this, but I’m not sure what to do to it to make it more accurate. It was a good exercise, though, and I’m glad I did it. It’s just a sketch, and not perfect by a long shot, but it pushed me out of my comfort zone.
Also, please pardon the lazily-drawn hand. I kept erasing and redoing it, then I got frustrated and just made that. Unfortunately, that was the best-looking one I’d drawn. Soooo I kept it.
not bad for a quick rough sketch! I like the motion you’re implying! thanks for the submission!
