needsmoarg4: Pose-wise, Black Widow

needsmoarg4 submitted:

Pose-wise, Black Widow wants to create as much room as possible in order to move. So, if she’s pulling her left leg up, she needs to shift the position of her pelvis to the right while doing so. As the view is from the right side, this means shoving the butt closer to the viewer. In fact the butt would probably be even more in shot than what I’ve drawn.

Other than this, the problem with the original frame is the way the left leg is drawn. Either that’s a shadow behind her hip or that’s meant to be a knee, which as you can tell is not going to work with the visible position of her lower leg. But all you need to do is erase that bit and it’s not going to raise questions.

As for the vent itself, it’s probably just about big enough for this motion. I traced over the edge quickly and there’s room for her to move this way, and more if she does what I just said. I also think that the frame cuts off some space in the vent at the top and to the near side, because otherwise that arm isn’t that comfortable and that head’s going through the top. This isn’t that good a way to depict your vent-crawling — really you should cut the frame so that the edges are actually the edges.

Because it’s been a couple weeks: this is the original picture for a comparison.
