Less Tits n' Ass, More Kickin' Ass: Wherein I address Bleez
Well, here’s a particularly butt-central Bleez one.
Also this:
For future reference, guys, you can use the submitting link to send me images. I know I said I want edits in there, but it turns out that if I want something to be rebloggable, it has to be in the form of a proper post and not a question. And when you use the submit function, you can either use a link by using the “Insert image” button on the text edit menu, or upload a photo by changing “Submit a text post” to “Submit a photo” (just click on that and the menu will appear). I’m going to change the submission guidelines soon and will be accepting suggestions of images to fix.
Now about Bleez… All I can do is a lot of facepalming. How can I take her seriously? I mean… How can anyone, when all a person thinks upon seeing this is “ass shot”? (also it’s a seriously large and bubbly one.)
This is where I get to show I’m a story artist. I’m thinking about action, directions, forces, movement, sequence of events. I’m thinking about characterization, acting, consequences of actions. I’m not thinking about showing tits or ass or abs or package when I draw comics or storyboards, unless the script calls for a “beauty shot”. I’ll let the illustration below show what I mean.
So how do we fix this? The main action here is that he has grabbed her by the face and neck at top speed and is dragging her forward in order to slam her into the ground, right? That’s the main force in the drawing.
So if I was grabbed by the neck at top speed, my body would be dragged behind in that direction, right?
That’s what I thought.
Also, note on my sketch how I drew the whole right leg from the butt, and didn’t make a guess as to where it should maybe be. Also note that her feet are not ballerina pointed, because feet pointing requires deliberate thought and effort, and right now Bleez is distracted by the fact that a BIG HULKING ANGRY GUY IS CHOKING HER. Seriously, pointed ballerina feet are a pet peeve of mine when it comes to posing women under impact or physical distress. Feet don’t do that. And yet another peeve is how superhero women who aren’t wearing high heels are most often wearing socks. That’s the only way I can explain the under-foot definition here.
Any questions?
But then we don’t see the fullness of her bubbly bubbly Benes butt.
Also, yet another great breakdown. If you aren’t following this blog, you should. If Escher Girls is the 101 class, Less Tits n'Ass is the 201 (or greater) class.
