Xena and the Mystery of the Missing Leg

This entire cover is a mess of like right angle rubber spines and weird poses, from Xena to spiky-bra girl on the horse, to Gabrielle on the floor, but my big question is... where is Xena's left leg? It appears totally missing.

If you squint you can see this vaguely leg shaped shadow next to her right leg but it's unclear if that's supposed to be her leg or the horse's leg. In both cases it doesn't make much sense. What is going on?
