Okay, so I’ve gone through the

Okay, so I’ve gone through the predraws and arranged them into galleries by theme.  There are 5 categories:

Dancing

Centaurs

Other Creatures

Biped and Twisty

Biped and Non-Twisty

Each gallery will also have the credit to the artist (in order of pictures shown) and any commentary they provided.

This is the original picture if people want to see what it looks like at the bottom.

Today will be the dancing edition, so without further ado, I give you:

Predraw Challenge 2: Electric Boogaloo

1. 4thstar submitted:

Here you go! As soon as I saw the top half of that girl, I just knew I had to do this xD

I tried to preserve some eschergirlness, while attempting to mimic the linework/coloring style. I believe it’s the first time in years I’ve used the airbrush tool >_>

The horrendous foreshortening on the leg is all me, though; it still is one of my weak points :x

(the pom-poms are off-screen, unfortunately :P)

^ This is the first predraw submitted to me and one of my favourites. :)

For the fill-in-the-bottom.

Instead of trying to fix the anatomy (which would honestly require a full redraw), I tried to do what the artist seemed to be going for, a ballet dancer with very skimpy clothing… (Sorry for the bad anatomy on the legs).

I noticed while drawing this that her arms are ridiculously shiny, like to the point where they go from dark sienna to bright peachish to show highlights. I am firmly rooted in the belief that her natural skin tone is Snooki Orange. (Just kidding. Oompa Loompa…)

And all those skintight armbands… and the skintight boobsock-band-thing…

She looks like one of those latex trapeze artists. Haha, I had a ton of fun with this. I tried to imitate the style/coloring/lines as close as I could.

I’m not sure if changing anything in the original image is allowed, but I had to include lyrics from “Puttin’ On the Ritz” in the speech blocks. :D
