I actually bought a print of this from the Artist at a con, because I love Scarlet. And we talked, and he told me how when he was given the assignment, he imagined that seconds after this picture, they embraced and made love. He had it in his mind the whole time that they’d solve their differences and have strong, sexy woman sex. And I of course got him to sign the poster with a reference to it.

But yes, perhaps this does explain some things :P.
